Moving forward...
Completing the JustIT Data Bootcamp marked a pivotal step in my transition to a data analytics role, equipping me with practical skills across Excel, SQL, Python, visualization tools, and Azure while aligning with my structured learning style.
Excel tasks honed data manipulation through pivot tables, SWITCH functions, and sales analysis on retail and bike datasets, including compliance with GDPR and Data Protection Act principles. Visualization modules in Tableau and Power BI enabled dashboard creation, such as Spotify genre trends and UK job market maps, revealing insights like popularity-energy correlations. SQL, Python (Pandas for ETL/groupby), and Azure labs built on this for database querying, scripting, and cloud workflows, directly supporting Liverpool-area job pursuits.
Balancing bootcamp coursework with mindful downtime and fitness goals, yet hands-on labs—sorting commissions, categorizing sales volumes, and NHS health benchmarking—transformed abstract concepts into portfolio-ready projects. Debugging Pandas code for outliers and mastering Power BI data loads sharpened problem-solving under deadlines.
This bootcamp bridges my job loss to data engineer/analyst opportunities, with GitHub-ready demos of profit-by-demographic analysis and real-time dashboards boosting my resume. Next steps include Azure certifications, freelance Power BI gigs, and applying to North West firms, confident in handling end-to-end pipelines from raw CSV to executive visuals.
And more fun projects, stay tuned!
