Having just completed the JustIT Data Bootcamp I feel I have achieved a key milestone in transitioning to data analytics roles. Gained hands-on expertise in Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI, and Azure through practical projects aligned with its structured learning approach.

Key Skills Acquired

Mastered Excel for data manipulation via pivot tables, SWITCH functions, and sales analysis on retail/bike datasets—ensuring GDPR compliance. Built interactive Tableau and Power BI dashboards, including Spotify genre trends and UK job market maps that uncovered popularity-energy correlations. Advanced SQL querying, Python Pandas for ETL/groupby operations, and Azure cloud workflows to support my search in Liverpool-area data positions.

Challenges Met

Balanced intensive coursework and current workload by focusing on applied labs: sorting commissions, categorizing sales volumes, and NHS health benchmarking. Overcame debugging hurdles in Pandas outlier detection and Power BI data modeling, delivering deadline-ready portfolio projects.

Career Momentum

Bootcamp projects—profit-by-demographic analysis and real-time dashboards—strengthen applications for data engineer/analyst roles at North West firms. Ill be pursuing Azure certifications, freelance Power BI work, and look to make more GitHub demos and projects to position myself as a solid candidate for a role in data.
